Vision Loss in Retirement Years

It is not uncommon for us to experience a slight to moderate vision loss as we reach our 60's. For most of us, the process began in our 40's and 50's with the 'clouding over' of the eye leaving us with 'short arm disease' (where we have to hold a book farther and farther away from our face to be able to read it!)

Usually, these sort of vision problems can be corrected through glasses or contact lenses. See your Opthamalogist for an eye examination as soon as you recognize that you have a problem. It will save a lot of frustration and embarrassment.
