Establishing a Trust
Among the many financial vehicles available to you are the varuious types and kinds of trusts. These may be used as a tool to pass assets on to your heirs, to provide for continuation of a family business, or for any of a variety of purposes.
Among the most common trust is a Charitable Remainder Trust in which you are able to donate funds to a trust and take a deduction for the charitable contribution this year while still providing continuing income for you from the assets until your death. During your lifetime, you can then specify the investments made by the trust as well as the particular charity or charities to which you wish the funds to go on the occassion of your death.
There are many kinds of trusts available under the law and none can be established without the services of a good attorney, particularly one that specializes in trusts.
